Over the past few months I have been using Deviantart less and less and this is basically due to the content posted in the galleries. I can't remember the last time I logged on, had a browse through the photographic gallery and wasn't bombarded by tacky, very badly taken photos of naked girls in pretty ludicrous positions. Don't get me wrong, I think the female form is stunning, and I have added quite a number of nude portraits to my favourites, but there are so many images on these galleries nowadays that has absolutely no artistic quality to them what so ever. I am not entirely clear as to why these girls (or whoever is a member of Deviantart) are putting these images up other than to gain views from horny 15 year old nerd boys who are easily amused. Not to sound too much like an old fuddy duddy but there really should be something done about this, it is lowering the quality and tone of the whole website and is forcing real artistic people to use other websites to host and share their artwork.

Does anyone else have this opinion? Or am I being an old fart?
